About the Project

When good design meets a clear creative vision, projects emerge that speak for themselves. That’s exactly how it was with this bathroom project, which we were fortunate to accompany – realised by Julia Ryser.

A few weeks ago, Julia completed her very personal dream bathroom. It was clear early on that something special was taking shape – not only because of the materials chosen, but above all because of the care and the fine sense of design reflected in every detail. We had the pleasure of supporting her with the material selection and accompanying her in our showroom in Zurich.

At the heart of the project is the DIN collection by Mutina, designed by Konstantin Grcic. The collection is distinguished by its architectural clarity and a restrained, precise formal language. Subtle textures and structured surfaces give the tiles a special depth that unfolds differently depending on the light. Rather than pushing themselves into the foreground, they interact with the space and create a calm yet expressive atmosphere.

In Julia’s bathroom, these qualities come into their own beautifully. The tiles act not just as a backdrop but as an integral part of the entire spatial concept. Their structure and materiality contribute significantly to the overall effect, creating a cohesive, modern yet timeless ambience. The project shows how considered material choice and a clear design line can produce a result that goes beyond the ordinary.
