Workshop on Wood & Ceramics - The Classic Duo
On 27.06.2024 we held two workshops in one day at the Plattenladen. One on the topic of ceramics and one on the topic of wood + color.
On the subject of ceramics, Reto Hänni used a current case study to show, among other things, what must be taken into account when planning and installing a ceramic façade. This was followed by the production and differentiation of the various ceramic products for wall and floor coverings such as clinker, cotto and stoneware.
The second workshop on wood was led by Maximilian Hansen from Schotten & Hansen. From felling trees and processing them in a way that conserves resources as much as possible to explaining what the company credo "transformer of the precious" is all about, Maximilian guided us through the fascinating world of wood.
We ended the evening with a good glass of wine and tasty snacks with the architects present.
